World Pharmacist Day was celebrated on 25- Sep-2017 with tremendous joy by all Staff & Students of Innovative College of Pharmacy, Greater Noida. The Theme of World Pharmacist Day-2017 was “From Research to Health Care: Your Pharmacist is at your Service”, according to the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). The theme reflects the important role of pharmacists in providing care to the public, and also to highlight the emotional connection they have with their patients.
The day started enthusiastically with the Rangoli Competition and students made rangoli on themes like Save Girl Child and Know Your Pharmacist, event progressed with T-Shirt Painting Competition where student showed their innovative ideas with colors. The event was also highlighted with outstanding Poster Presentation by budding pharmacy professionals on the topic like Tele-Pharmacy and How Mobile Effect Human Body. Best three Posters were awarded for its innovation and creativity. The event was followed by Debate Competition and the students presented their ideas on “A good student does not necessarily make a good pharmacist”. Essay Competition was also held on the same day and topic was “Tele-Pharmacy”. Pharma Quiz Competition was well ordered, to test the student’s perception on technical aspects of pharmacy and also the current affairs. The virtuous candidates were awarded as well. Event was also marked by participation of students in Best-Out of Waste Competition, the main aim of which was to educate students about waste management.
